ABOUT ME…
I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades at a number of schools in the Chicago and Atlanta areas and am so happy to be settled in at Winfield Primary School teaching 2nd grade! This is my 20th year teaching full-time with a break in the middle to stay home raising our two children. I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University. I recently finished coursework to complete an ESL endorsement. I found my calling in teaching and feel it is a privilege to be able to spend my days with children helping to guide their learning and discoveries!
I live right here in Winfield with my husband Dan, and our two children, Nathan (21) and Elise (19). Nathan is at Iowa State University studying Business/Finance and Elise is at the University of Kansas studying Speech-Language Pathology. Our 8 year old rescue dog Millie is also an important part of our family! We enjoy vacations together camping, hiking and sightseeing in the summer and skiing in the winter. In my spare time I like to relax with family and friends, visit with my parents, exercise, read, go to college football games, and be outside as much as possible!

Wednesday - Art from 11:30 - 12:12
Thursday - Library from 11:45 - 12:15 and P.E. from 1:03 - 1:45
Friday - Music from 11:30 - 12:12
